The Open in OVER! Are you thrilled? I know some of us wish the Open would go on forever, but I think the majority of us are happy to get back into the regular routine and ignore thrusters and double unders for a minute or two.
Even though I didn’t participate in the workouts this year, I’ve been thinking about some of what I judged (and participated in two years ago) and which one was my favorite. I think I would have loved to do 17.5, but my actual favorite within my realm of CrossFit experience is 15.5 (27-21-15-9 calorie row and thrusters). I don’t remember my time or anything too specific aside from I pushed myself to do the absolute best that I could do, mostly thanks to my judge, and I did it Rx. Someday, when I can actually do a thruster again, I think I’ll do it again.
Along these lines, I recently read something about what your dream CrossFit workout would be if you knew it would be the last one you would ever do. Imagine an asteroid the size of the sun is screaming right toward Denver and you have enough time to make one more trip to DeCO. What would you do? I’m torn, so if I had time, I would do two. Filthy Fifty is my absolute top favorite workout ever, closely followed by Grace. And I would do both of them Rx, because if the world is going to end, I don’t have to worry about recovery the next day!
So, what would your best last workout ever be and why?
Have a great week, friends!
