Tillie's Back!  #23

I’m coming off of an insanely busy, crazy, fun weekend, and I am feeling really motivated to level up and keep getting’ after it! The Girls Gone WOD 200th Episode Party was on Saturday night, and holy cow was it fun. The weather didn’t fully cooperate, so we had to drive a little bit farther to get an arepa, but from the Treats by Tillie standpoint it was an incredibly successful evening! I made several great connections, upped my social media following, and most importantly received great feedback from so many people. I made six dozen cupcakes for the party and came home with zero. They were gone pretty quickly, and it was so fun to watch people eat them and smile ☺ That’s really all I aim to do from the beginning, so I’m glad it’s working.

I was kind of freaked out a couple weeks ago about this past weekend, knowing it was going to be busy, but I had no idea at the time that I would actually end up taking on four different events and baking 122 total cupcakes. I lived to tell the tale and aside from being completely exhausted, I feel really inspired and ready to go! So, here is what I’m going to be up to for the next few weeks.

I started a bullet journal recently as a next step in my New Year’s Resolution to journal every day. I once tried to bullet journal, but at the time I don’t think it was what I needed. I’ve found that I don’t need as much time and space these days to process my feelings so much as I just need space to write, doodle, list, etc. Just write, really. I carry my new journal with me everywhere and sometimes find myself craving a few extra minutes to spend being creative with it. I’ve also found that my productivity and organization have gone way up, which probably plays into my super motivated and inspired feeling. I think I thrive on being busy, but I have to organize it rather than just have organized chaos. Journaling has definitely helped me with this. I don’t think there is a wrong way to bullet journal necessarily, but I am definitely still figuring it out. I’m curious to hear from more people that do this. What works for you? How do you organize your journal? Let me know!

In the gym lately I have been hitting my PT exercises pretty hard and moving through what I need to do to get back to running and lifting at least a little bit. I am feeling super great and am trying to stay diligent and purposeful in my movements all day long so that I can keep getting stronger. Side note – if something is nagging you and you haven’t seen Zach (our in-house PT) yet, do it! He is amazing.

This week is week four of tracking my macros with the most focus I ever have. I’m following RP templates that I have and a macros tracking app, so numbers-wise I don’t have to think about much. What I am finding is that more often than not I am not eating enough. There have been only a couple days where I have been even relatively close to hitting my macros, which is super interesting. I’m still playing around with it a little bit, and still figuring out how to eat differently so I can come close to seeing zeroes for my fat, carbs, and protein at the end of each day. My goal for this week is to do better on the weekend. This past weekend I was running around so much that I hardly ate anything at all, and I think that is the case for most of my weekend days. I just get so preoccupied that I forget to eat. Weird, right? Definitely something to improve upon.

Have a good week friends! Do something great today ☺
