This is my last blog post of Tillie’s DeCO Blog: Round 2, so I thought I would leave you with some ideas and goals I have for myself for the coming months. If you see me around the gym or around the world and you feel like chatting about it, I’d love to!
Right now my biggest fitness goal is to be ready to run the Rock n’ Roll 10k in October. I did Murph yesterday (half and modified) and it was the first time in a while that I have felt comfortable and strong enough to actually run during a WOD instead of row. I’m not quite ready to do sprints yet, or run for terribly long distances, but I’m thrilled to report that everything feels totally normal today after running yesterday. That is a huge improvement, and I can’t wait to get back out there and actually for real start running again.
My biggest life goal right now is to figure out how to eat. I’ve been tracking macros for around 2 months now, and have been frustrated and discouraged most of the time. Believe it or not, I am not someone who feels hungry all the time. Actually, I hardly ever feel legitimately hungry. Trying to meet my macros and trying to eat all that I need to eat is super hard. I’m going to stick it out for at least the summer, and really be as strict as I can be. If when my nanny kids start school again I still haven’t lost weight or see other positive results I’m going to explore some other options. I don’t know what that is yet, but I’ll cross that bridge if/when I get to it.
I’ve been revisiting my word of 2017, which is “consistency”, and I can definitely do a better job about this all the way around. It’s a good thing that I can just try harder starting right now instead of having to wait for something to tell me to go.
Thanks for keeping up with me, friends! It’s been really great to have your feedback and support as I try and figure out what the heck I’m doing! Remember that this isn’t goodbye, just see you later ☺
