And now...Week 20!
What’s your least favorite day of the week? Mine is Tuesday. That’s today, blog writing day. Tuesday sucks every. single. week.
Usually, on sucky Tuesday I can dig deep and find something to write about to expand your horizons as devout blog readers. But I’m struggling with that today, friends. I’m tapped out. I’m running on fumes. You saw this first hand if you were one of my workout friends on Monday. Perhaps you remember that day as the day of a WOD disguised as Strength and Skill with all the toys. I remember it as the day I hit my breaking point. Three rounds of a 400m run and 15 back squats with 65# kicked my ass. It kicked my ass so hard I spent my last 400 sobbing and did the last set of squats in tears. I didn’t give up though, because I’m working on being about it and about making my best better. That being said, squats and running are my two most frustrating things. I’ll whip myself with a jump rope a thousand times for double under attempts if it meant I wouldn’t have to do any number for either of those things.
You should know, though, that those of you who were there on Monday and cheered me on and helped me clean up my equipment were really helpful. Thank you for sticking it out with me and being so supportive. You guys are awesome. And Leslie, you’re awesome too. Does the owner of your gym send you a text the day after you have a meltdown during a workout just to check in? Leslie does. It really means a lot that all of you are there for me. Thank you.
But, friends, this week that is all I’ve got. I had over 12 hours of work today so I missed my “Jack” retest, but am hoping to make it up on Sunday.
Here’s to a great week, everyone! Enjoy your Labor Day, and please don’t wear white on Tuesday. Do something great today. I think I can if you will.
