And now...Week 7!
Hi, friends! Short post this week because someone else did all the talking for me about what was going to be the heart of my post. But first, some updates!
“Murph” round 2 happened yesterday (Memorial Day) and it was totally awesome! Here’s a little comparison shot of my first attempt and my retest:
Still over 50 minutes, but you know what? I improved. Whoop whoop! Also, Rachel and Lauren both improved to under the fifty minute mark. That’s pretty huge. Nice job, ladies! My first “Murph” mile of the retest was also my fastest mile yet: 11:38. Yeah, it’s still pretty slow, but you know what? I improved! My shoulders and arms are pretty sore today because I feel like I am also improving on my push ups. I’m still doing them from my knees, but I think I’m really close to leveling up to an actual real push up.
Getting to that spot where you are able to see your progress and see results is pretty awesome. I have never stuck with an exercise plan long enough to be able to see anything like I am seeing now. I feel great! Even my knees feel great! I bought new (smaller) clothes today! That’s great!

you know I want to be everyone’s friend. What Juli had to say today was pretty awesome, and it stuck with me. I’ve only been a CrossFitter for less than six months, and have a long way to go before I even consider competing, but her overall message is awesome and pretty much what I have been preaching for a while now. , then reflect on what makes you happy. Now, go do that. Forever. And pay it forward. Tell someone else to do what makes them happy because sometimes we get so lost in other things that we forget about ourselves. Who knows, by telling someone to live their own personal happiest life, you may make a lifelong impact. That’s pretty cool.
