And now...Week 8!

Hi, friends!

This week is going to be a super short post, and will basically just serve as an update. Not to say I’m all out of witty and hilarious comments, I’m just exhausted!

You guys. You are all too kind. Thank you for constantly giving me a boost. If I had some money for every time one of you complimented my overall appearance, or my form, or anything about me, I would have a considerably larger amount of money than I did this time last week. You all know when I need to hear something the most, and it’s so heartwarming. You’re the best. Thank you!

This week was pretty tame. And by tame, I mean I didn’t get to DeCO as often as I would have liked to. But I’m back on track this week! How many of y’all did the Saturday 10:00 WOD this past Saturday? Holy s*** that was pretty intense. I’d say top 3 hardest WODs of my short CrossFit career thus far. Josh was the best partner. Thanks for putting up with me and my slowness, Josh. You rock!

Speaking of slowness, I did my first Run Club run this week, and it took less than an hour to go the whole way! Granted there were times when we stopped to walk and catch our breath, but I was anticipating being out and running for over an hour. Rachel and Lauren were the best running partners ever! I know they are much faster than I am, but they went my pace the entire time. I am so thankful for them. They rock! Did you know that Run Club is open to non­DeCO members? That’s right! ALL OF YOU should join me next Monday (June 9th) at 5:30 at DeCO for Run
Club! Really, when we go, it’s more like run/walk club, or light jog club, but it’s still out of the house and moving club! So come out and move! Who cares how fast we go?

I did my second ever benchmark WOD today. I have to say that Elizabeth caught me off guard. My time to beat for the end of the month is 9:54 with 65#. I think I can do it. I probably can even up my weight a little bit!

I signed up for the DeCO Members Competition today, probably within minutes of the Facebook event creation. I’m really excited, and only a little nervous. I have a little over a month to prepare, and I think I know what to do...but I’m curious. As many of you are seasoned CrossFitters, what is your advice for preparing for my first competition? I would welcome any and all helpful hints!
